Mobile Home Insulation

Insulation of mobile homes is very important. Creating an air seal in the home is very important and this is how you will be able to avoid problems like drafts, uncomfortable roams mold, and high monthly bills. Insulation also allows you and your family to live comfortably in the home. In the case of improper insulation, you will be facing a lot of problems, especially in the winter season. After the implementation of HUD, mobile home manufacturers have made some important improvements in the construction of these homes. Many types of insulations can be used in mobile homes. All you have to do is consider the best and suitable option for your home.

Blanket Insulation

This type of mobile home insulation exists in two forms, bats and rolls. This type of installation is considered one of the most common types of insulation used in mobile homes. Generally, this installation type is made up of fiberglass, natural fibers, and mineral wool. The fibers of this insulation are extremely flexible so they can be easily cut and fixed into any space. This is the material that is usually used for filling in studs and joints. This one is considered the least expensive and is more commonly used in the construction of many mobile homes.

Foam Boards

Foam boards are another type of insulation. This type of installation is considered more rigid and hard than blanket insulation. The main purpose of using this type of insulation is to provide thermal resistance. While constructing a home, people normally use this type of material as roof insulation and they can also be used as belly insulation under the homes. They are stiff and flat in appearance, so actually, they are hard mats and you can use them to patch a spot for insulating an entire space. Rigid foam boards are available in materials such as polyurethane, polystyrene, and polyisocyanurate.

Loose-fill

This form of insulation is also known as blown-in insulation. Normally, it is used with a big blower. This type of insulation is a perfect option for filling spaces or odd shapes, for example the attic section. So basically, this insulation is blown in foam that soon dries up, and then after some time, it turns into hard foam insulation. This will fill the gaps and will keep the heat or coolness inside the home, so your energy will not be wasted.

Spray and Injection Foam

These have gained a lot of popularity and attraction in recent years. This process starts by using a liquid container and then the foam is expanded and hardened once it comes out. This is the most recent form of insulation and is not generally used. The best thing about it is that they can be used for enclosed plates or more suitable enclosed spaces, for example, walls or cracks. They can reach the tiniest spaces because they expand after filling in a space.
